Autumn Light Through Japanese Maple, Seattle, Washington
Autumn Light, Japanese Maple

Maple trees have a rich history in Japan, where they have been cultivated for more than 1,500 years. There, the trees are called “kito,” which translates to “calm” and “at peace.” Here, spectacular fall color and an afternoon sunbreak combine to provide serenity in the Kubota Garden in Seattle, Washington.
